Long-Term Temporary Legal Assistant [7730]
DC-based association seeks a long-term temporary Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to attorneys for approximately 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Track deadlines to ensure legal documents are filed in a timely manner.
- Draft, edit, and format file pleadings, motions, settlements, and letters of intent.
- Perform legal and factual background research
- Provide administrative support by managing calendars and scheduling appointments.
- Create and maintain case files and produce transcripts
Qualifications:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to execute tasks with changing priorities and competing deadlines.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Experience interacting with clients via phone and email.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a legal support position.
Rate: $20 per hour.
