Long-Term Temporary Legal Assistant [7730]

DC-based association seeks a long-term temporary Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to attorneys for approximately 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Track deadlines to ensure legal documents are filed in a timely manner.
Draft, edit, and format file pleadings, motions, settlements, and letters of intent.
Perform legal and factual background research
Provide administrative support by managing calendars and scheduling appointments.
Create and maintain case files and produce transcripts

Qualifications:

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to execute tasks with changing priorities and competing deadlines.
Highly organized and attentive to detail.
Experience interacting with clients via phone and email.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a legal support position.

Rate: $20 per hour.
